Insurance Defense Attorney - Bodily Injury

As an insurance defense attorney within the bodily injury unit, you’ll provide legal representation and handle cases from beginning to end, including preparing legal documents and negotiating settlements.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal representation to Progressive insureds and/or to the Progressive Insurance Companies before courts and arbitration panels in all aspects of litigation
- Handle cases from beginning to end, including preparing legal pleadings, motions, statements, trial briefs and negotiating settlements
- Work closely with clients and claims partners to prepare timely reports on litigation
- Analyze written discovery, depositions, medical records and assess the value of claims to determine risk exposure
Skills
- Juris doctor degree or Master of Laws (LLM)
- Admitted to practice law in the state of Virginia
