Job Responsibilities:
As a Pharmacy Customer Service Associate, you will be responsible for:
- Providing exceptional customer service to patients and customers, responding to their inquiries, and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner
- Processing transactions, including registering sales, collecting cash, and dispensing change
- Maintaining accurate records, including patient and medication data, and processing voids, returns, and exchanges
- Assisting pharmacists with tasks, such as entering patient and medication data, filling prescriptions, and verifying medication accuracy
- Reporting any errors or discrepancies to the pharmacist and adhering to company policies and procedures
- Handling calls and responding to customer inquiries, including those from doctors and other healthcare professionals
- Processing manual cases for external program remedy services and performing other administrative tasks as assigned
- Assisting with stock management, including receiving, stocking, and maintaining inventory levels
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, including counters, shelves, and storage areas
- Participating in training and professional development programs to stay up-to-date on the latest medical and pharmacy developments
Essential Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- 1+ year of experience in a retail or healthcare environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Proficiency in data entry and computer skills
- Basic knowledge of pharmacy operations and procedures
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
Preferred Qualifications:
* 6+ months of experience in a retail or healthcare environment
- Previous experience working with Walgreens or a similar company
- Strong numerical skills, including counting, measuring, and weighing prescriptions
- Familiarity with store stock control and inventory management systems
- PTCB certification or willingness to obtain certification through the assigned PTCB training program
