Job Responsibilities:

As a Pharmacy Customer Service Associate, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing exceptional customer service to patients and customers, responding to their inquiries, and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Processing transactions, including registering sales, collecting cash, and dispensing change
  • Maintaining accurate records, including patient and medication data, and processing voids, returns, and exchanges
  • Assisting pharmacists with tasks, such as entering patient and medication data, filling prescriptions, and verifying medication accuracy
  • Reporting any errors or discrepancies to the pharmacist and adhering to company policies and procedures
  • Handling calls and responding to customer inquiries, including those from doctors and other healthcare professionals
  • Processing manual cases for external program remedy services and performing other administrative tasks as assigned
  • Assisting with stock management, including receiving, stocking, and maintaining inventory levels
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, including counters, shelves, and storage areas
  • Participating in training and professional development programs to stay up-to-date on the latest medical and pharmacy developments

Essential Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

  • 1+ year of experience in a retail or healthcare environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Proficiency in data entry and computer skills
  • Basic knowledge of pharmacy operations and procedures
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

* 6+ months of experience in a retail or healthcare environment

  • Previous experience working with Walgreens or a similar company
  • Strong numerical skills, including counting, measuring, and weighing prescriptions
  • Familiarity with store stock control and inventory management systems
  • PTCB certification or willingness to obtain certification through the assigned PTCB training program
