We are seeking a passionate and experienced Physical Education Teacher to join our team at Groner Elementary School and Hillsboro Online Academy. As a Physical Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds and bodies of our students, providing a planned, sequential, K-12 standards-based program of curricula and instruction designed to develop motor skills, knowledge, and behaviors for active living, physical fitness, sportsmanship, self-efficacy, and emotional intelligence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging physical education lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes social-emotional growth, teamwork, and sportsmanship
• Evaluate student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust instruction to meet the needs of all learners
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school personnel to ensure a comprehensive and supportive educational experience
• Stay up-to-date with best practices in physical education, incorporating technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student engagement and outcomes

Requirements:

• Valid State of Oregon Teaching License appropriate for the position
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Education from an accredited institution
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff from diverse backgrounds
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Proficiency in computer and internet-based applications, including email and district systems
