Junior UI Developer (Contract Role for 12 months)

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior UI Developer to join our dynamic front-end development team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on modern web applications and contribute to building intuitive, responsive, and high-performance user interfaces.

As a Junior UI Developer, you will work closely with designers, senior developers, and product stakeholders to translate design concepts into functional web interfaces. You will help shape the visual experience for users, ensuring it is consistent, accessible, and aligned with business goals. You’ll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with Vue.js (Composition API), and exposure to React.js, automated testing, and REST API integrations.

This role is ideal for someone with a foundational understanding of front-end technologies who is eager to grow and learn in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement user-facing features using Vue.js with the Composition API and Vue Router.
  • Translate UI/UX design wireframes and prototypes into responsive, interactive web components.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, senior developers, and back-end teams to deliver seamless user experiences.
  • Write and maintain unit tests using tools like Vitest and Vue Test Utils to ensure code quality and reliability.
  • Debug and resolve layout, rendering, and interaction issues across various browsers and devices.
  • Ensure all UI components are responsive, accessible, and performant.
  • Assist in integrating front-end components with RESTful APIs and support cross-functional feature development.
  • Stay up-to-date with modern front-end practices, tools, and trends.

Requirements

  • 0–2 years of professional front-end development experience (internships or personal projects welcome).
  • Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
  • Hands-on experience with Vue.js, especially with the Composition API and Vue Router.
  • Familiarity with testing libraries such as Vitest, Vue Test Utils, or similar frameworks.
  • Basic understanding or exposure to React.js, including JSX, hooks, and component-based architecture.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable, and reusable code.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for user experience and interface design.
  • Eagerness to learn, grow, and adapt in a fast-paced development environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
