Job title: Senior Actuarial Associate (Charlotte, NC (Hybrid) or Remote) in Charlotte, NC at Brighthouse Financial Company: Brighthouse Financial Job description: Where you’ll work: Our flexible, hybrid work model offers the option to work remotely or in the office.How you’ll contribute: As a Sr. Actuarial Associate, you’ll be a part of the Actuarial Development Program (ADP) which is designed for individuals who are interested in pursuing an actuarial career and obtaining the FSA designation.For this role, if FSA designation is obtained within the initial 24 months of hiring, then you will be able to do one additional 24 month rotation, if a non-ADP role is not offered. Study time, membership dues, exam fees, and materials will be paid by the company in accordance with the Actuarial Development Program policy.During the first 24 month rotation, you will be part of the team that sets assumptions, does modeling and pricing for our products including Brighthouse SmartCare® and Brighthouse SmartGuard Plus®.In this role, you’ll get to:

• Commit to both work and studying with a goal of completing all FSA exams.
• Be on a two-year rotation schedule supporting the various business units.
• Set assumptions, model, and price for Brighthouse SmartCare® and Brighthouse SmartGuard Plus® products.
• Develop and enhance tools that will improve analysis of key risks and profitability drivers.
• Provide support for required illustration certifications and product filings.
• Perform ad-hoc assumption updates and modeling requests with analysis on the financial impact.

We’re looking for people who have:

• Obtained the ASA designation and interested in obtaining FSA.
• Competent computing and programming skills in one or more of the following: Python, Matlab, Excel, R, VBA, SQL, etc.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work well on a team.
• Positive attitude with an eagerness to learn.
• Can adjust work resources and deadlines in response to changing business priorities.
• Sound business judgment skills (decision-making and problem solving).

• Compensation – Base salary ranging from $110,000 to $130,000 plus competitive performance-based incentives determined by company and individual results.
