Senior Analytics Engineer (multiple openings)
TITLE: Senior Analytics Engineer (multiple openings) JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for modeling data to provide clean, accurate datasets for use across the organization. Support business strategy by developing useful data products. Implements complex analytics solutions and demonstrating knowledge of data. Solves data integration problems, utilizing optimal ETL patterns, frameworks, query techniques, sourcing from structured and unstructured data sources. Builds foundational knowledge of Symetra products, workflow, and business context in order to anticipate future analytics opportunities. Takes ownership of incrementally building out data products and managing datasets from multiple sources. Influences non-technical teams and driving best Data Analytics best practices. Telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S. is permitted. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree* in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field, or the foreign degree equivalent, and 4 years of experience in data analytics, including: 4 years of experience programming with SQL and Python or R. 3 years of experience using dbt for data transformations. 4 years of experience with data modeling and working with large scale data. 4 years of experience with ETL development and using data warehousing concepts. Experience may be gained concurrently. Employer will accept a Master's degree and 3 years of the above experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree and 4 years of the above experience. Any suitable combination of experience of education, training, or experience is acceptable. SALARY: $150,987 to $162,400 per year.
