[Remote] Vice President - Operations

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Bench Walk Advisors is a leading litigation finance firm that provides capital solutions for complex commercial disputes. They are seeking an operations leader to own the operational infrastructure of the firm, which includes compliance, legal entity management, HR, technology, and corporate administration.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of legal entities — formation, maintenance, documentation, and wind-down — across US, UK, Guernsey, and other jurisdictions
  • Maintain master entity spreadsheet, corporate structure charts, Deal Binders, LPAs, IMAs, and LLC operating agreements
  • Oversee KYC documentation, FINRA filings, Form D filings, and regulatory compliance across jurisdictions
  • Coordinate with outside counsel on NDA, term sheet, and LFA review and execution
  • Evaluate, implement, and manage the firm's operational technology stack
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual workflows and introduce scalable systems across compliance, reporting, and communications
  • Administer user accounts, licenses, and software across platforms including Salesforce, Zoom, and others
  • Serve as internal champion for technology adoption and process improvement
  • Coordinate with Finance and Investor Relations teams on LP onboarding, quarterly reporting, and deal management workflows
  • Serve as an operational bridge between internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure nothing falls through the cracks
  • Support the Managing Directors on special projects and firm-wide initiatives as needed
  • Own relationships with external vendors, service providers, and outside counsel across all firm functions
  • Manage engagement letters, billing reviews, and ongoing performance of third-party relationships
  • Negotiate terms and ensure vendors are delivering value aligned with the firm's operational standards
  • Build and maintain centralized internal SOPs across all operational functions as the firm continues to grow
  • Identify process gaps and proactively implement documentation and controls that reduce operational risk
  • Ensure the firm's operational infrastructure scales with its growth — from team size to deal volume to jurisdictional complexity
  • Oversee US and UK payroll, employee onboarding, benefits administration (TriNet, FL BCBS), and HR compliance
  • Manage vendor and service provider relationships, insurance renewals, and office administration

Skills

  • 8+ years of experience in operations within private markets — litigation finance, private credit, private equity, hedge funds, or a comparable alternative asset management environment
  • Genuinely process- and systems-oriented: you don't just fix problems, you build infrastructure so they don't recur
  • A fast learner who can get up to speed quickly on unfamiliar platforms, structures, or jurisdictions
  • Comfortable operating across a broad mandate — legal, compliance, corporate administration, HR, and technology — without needing the scope narrowed for you
  • An enthusiastic adopter of technology, including AI-powered tools, with a track record of bringing new systems into organizations and making them stick
  • Exceptionally organized with strong attention to detail — you catch what others miss and follow through without being asked
  • An independent self-starter who thrives in a remote environment and doesn't need day-to-day direction to deliver results
  • Discreet, professional, and trustworthy — you will be handling sensitive legal, compliance, and personnel information on a daily basis
