Position Summary

arenaflex is seeking a meticulous, self‑motivated Data Entry Operator to join our remote workforce in the Los Angeles market. This part‑time role is ideal for individuals who possess exceptional typing speed, an eagle‑eye for detail, and a passion for organizing information. You will be responsible for converting physical and digital documents into structured data, maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, and supporting the broader data‑management team in delivering clean, reliable datasets to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, compile, and organize incoming documents—both paper‑based and electronic—for efficient data entry.
  • Verify the authenticity and completeness of source documents before processing.
  • Identify and correct discrepancies, inconsistencies, or missing information in real time.
  • Gather supplemental data from stakeholders when source documents are incomplete or ambiguous.
  • Enter information into designated databases, spreadsheets, and proprietary arenaflex platforms with a target accuracy rate of 99.9%.
  • Digitize hard‑copy records by scanning, indexing, and uploading them into the document management system.
  • Perform routine quality‑control checks, reviewing completed entries for errors and ensuring compliance with data‑security protocols.
  • Maintain organized logs of daily activities, including timestamps, volume of records processed, and any issues encountered.
  • Respond promptly to internal requests for specific files or data extracts, providing accurate information within agreed‑upon timelines.
  • Print, collate, and distribute physical copies of reports or documents when required by other departments.
  • Adhere strictly to data‑integrity, confidentiality, and security standards, including encryption and access‑control policies.
  • Monitor and replenish office supplies related to data entry (e.g., scanners, storage media, labeling materials) to ensure uninterrupted workflow.
  • Collaborate with team leads and quality‑assurance specialists to continuously improve data‑entry processes and reduce error rates.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent; additional coursework in business administration, information technology, or related fields is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to type at a minimum of 65 words per minute with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Prior experience in data entry, document management, or administrative support is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with a proven track record of delivering error‑free work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple document streams simultaneously.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear interaction with supervisors and cross‑functional teams.
  • Self‑discipline to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining productivity and meeting performance metrics.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States or Canada; candidates must reside in one of these countries.

Preferred Skills & Competencies

  • Familiarity with common office software suites (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace) and basic database concepts.
  • Experience using document‑management platforms such as SharePoint, DocuWare, or similar systems.
  • Understanding of data‑privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and best practices for handling sensitive information.
  • Ability to troubleshoot minor technical issues related to scanning equipment or file conversion tools.
  • Customer‑service mindset, with a willingness to assist internal stakeholders and external partners courteously.
  • Proactive attitude toward continuous improvement, suggesting workflow enhancements or automation opportunities.
