  • Research member accounts using arenaflex’s internal systems, policies, and regulatory guidelines to resolve questions and concerns.
  • Educate members on plan benefits, coverage options, and claim processes, ensuring they understand their rights and responsibilities.
  • Escalate sensitive or complex issues to senior staff or specialized departments while maintaining ownership of the case until resolution.
  • Stay current with evolving state and federal regulations, updating knowledge daily to guarantee compliance and best‑practice service.
  • Identify opportunities to cross‑sell or recommend additional arenaflex products that align with member needs, enhancing satisfaction and profitability.
  • Document all interactions accurately in the customer relationship management (CRM) system, preserving a clear audit trail.
  • Participate actively in live virtual training sessions, applying new skills and feedback to improve performance.
  • Collaborate with teammates, supervisors, and other departments to share insights and continuously improve processes.

Essential Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of three years in a customer‑service environment, preferably within health insurance, medical billing, or a related field.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using computers, navigating multiple software platforms, and learning new tools quickly.
  • Communication Skills: Clear, courteous, and articulate verbal and written communication; ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms.
  • Reliability: Consistent high‑speed internet connection and a dedicated, distraction‑free workspace suitable for remote work.
  • Availability: Ability to complete a 9‑12 week live virtual training program and work flexible 8.5‑hour shifts between 7:30 am and 6:00 pm Central Time.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Assets

  • Familiarity with basic medical and dental terminology, as well as health‑plan contract interpretation.
  • Previous experience with insurance claim adjudication, eligibility verification, or member advocacy.
  • Certification in customer service excellence (e.g., Certified Customer Service Professional – CCSP).
  • Demonstrated ability to handle high‑volume call environments while maintaining quality and compliance.
  • Strong problem‑solving mindset with a proactive approach to learning and self‑development.

Core Skills & Competencies for Success

  • Empathy & Active Listening: Ability to understand member concerns, validate feelings, and respond with genuine care.
  • Attention to Detail: Accurate data entry, thorough documentation, and meticulous adherence to policies.
  • Time Management: Efficiently balance multiple inquiries, meet service level agreements, and prioritize tasks.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a dynamic environment where regulations and processes evolve regularly.
  • Team Collaboration: Share knowledge, support peers, and contribute to a positive, solution‑focused culture.
  • Technology Savvy: Quick learner of arenaflex’s CRM, knowledge bases, and communication platforms.

Training, Development & Career Growth
