As we expand our global footprint, we are looking for meticulous, detail‑oriented professionals who are passionate about music metadata and the behind‑the‑scenes processes that bring songs to listeners everywhere.

Position Overview

The Content & Repertoire Data Entry Specialist is a critical member of the Record Label Team at arenaflex. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, validating, and uploading music metadata to our distribution partners, ensuring that every track is accurately represented across streaming platforms, digital stores, and performance‑rights databases. Your work will directly impact the discoverability, royalty collection, and overall success of the artists we serve.

Key Responsibilities

  • Metadata Preparation & Entry: Input comprehensive song information—including titles, artists, composers, producers, and featured performers—into arenaflex’s internal repertoire system and external distribution portals.
  • Credit Attribution: Research, verify, and assign appropriate credits for each track, ensuring that all contributors receive proper recognition and royalty allocation.
  • Lyric Management: Transcribe, review, edit, and upload accurate lyric files; perform quality‑control checks to guarantee that lyrics are free of typographical errors and comply with platform guidelines.
  • ISRC Assignment: Generate, assign, and track International Standard Recording Codes (ISRCs) for every new release, maintaining a master log that aligns with arenaflex’s cataloging standards.
  • Publishing Data Coordination: Populate publishing information for each composition, interfacing with arenaflex’s internal rights‑management tools and external databases (formerly known as the Harry Fox Agency) to ensure seamless royalty collection.
  • Artwork & Packaging Review: Examine preliminary and final album artwork for correct credit placement, metadata consistency, and compliance with visual standards before release.
  • Quality Assurance & Proofreading: Conduct meticulous cross‑checks between source documents, internal records, and distribution feeds to catch and correct any discrepancies.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with label managers, artists, producers, and external partners to gather missing information, resolve data conflicts, and meet release deadlines.
  • Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in the data entry workflow and propose automation or procedural enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years professional experience in data entry, preferably within the music, media, or entertainment sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large volumes of detailed information with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Familiarity with music industry standards such as ISRC, ISWC, and metadata schemas used by major streaming services (e.g., Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music).
  • Strong written communication skills; experience proofreading lyrics, credits, and packaging copy is a plus.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheet software (Excel, Google Sheets) and database entry tools; experience with content‑management systems (CMS) or digital asset management platforms is advantageous.
  • Self‑motivated, able to work independently in a remote environment while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Experience with rights‑management platforms and performance‑rights societies (e.g., ASCAP, BMI, SESAC) or their equivalents.
  • Knowledge of basic music publishing concepts and royalty distribution mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with digital distribution services such as DistroKid, TuneCore, or CD Baby.
  • Exposure to project‑management tools (Asana, Trello, Monday.com) to track release schedules.
  • Ability to write or edit short descriptive copy for artist bios, track descriptions, and promotional materials.
  • Previous remote work experience, demonstrating effective communication across time zones.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Attention to Detail: The capacity to spot even the smallest inconsistencies in data, ensuring flawless releases.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret complex credit structures and resolve ambiguous attribution scenarios.
  • Time Management: Skill in juggling multiple release cycles without compromising quality.
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills for working with creative teams, label executives, and external partners.
  • Adaptability: Comfort with evolving industry standards and the willingness to learn new tools quickly.
