We pride ourselves on a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and relentless innovation—where every employee is encouraged to ask bold questions, experiment fearlessly, and deliver exceptional value to our customers.

Why This Role Matters

As a Customer Success Engineer for the arenaflex Redshift Service, you will be the technical bridge between our world‑class engineering teams and the most strategic customers in the market. You will help shape the experience of large‑scale enterprises as they adopt, scale, and optimize their data warehousing workloads on arenaflex. Your deep technical expertise, proactive problem‑solving, and clear communication will directly influence customer satisfaction, product adoption, and the roadmap of future features.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Advocacy & Issue Resolution: Partner with our largest and most strategic customers to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex performance, reliability, and configuration challenges within the arenaflex Redshift Service.
  • Pre‑Sales Technical Enablement: Collaborate with sales and solutions architects to design proof‑of‑concepts, conduct deep‑dive technical workshops, and ensure seamless onboarding for high‑volume, mission‑critical deployments.
  • Automation & Process Optimization: Identify repetitive operational tasks and develop scripts, tooling, or workflow automations that improve efficiency for both customers and internal support teams.
  • Roadmap Communication: Translate product roadmaps, upcoming feature releases, and known limitations into clear, actionable information for customers, setting realistic expectations and driving adoption.
  • Architecture Deep‑Dive: Become intimately familiar with the internal architecture of arenaflex Redshift, including storage engines, query planners, networking layers, and security controls, to provide expert guidance on best‑practice configurations.
  • Feature Prioritization Input: Gather and synthesize customer feedback, usage patterns, and pain points to influence product prioritization and roadmap decisions alongside engineering leadership.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management, engineering, support, and professional services teams to ensure a unified, customer‑centric approach to problem solving.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to internal knowledge bases, create technical whitepapers, and develop customer‑facing documentation that demystifies complex concepts.
  • Continuous Learning & Thought Leadership: Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging data‑warehouse technologies, and best practices to provide forward‑looking advice to customers.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 5+ years of hands‑on experience supporting enterprise‑grade data platforms, preferably with exposure to cloud data warehouses, distributed SQL engines, or large‑scale analytics solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, query optimization, and storage configuration issues in production environments.
  • Strong programming or scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar) for automation and tooling development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of translating technical concepts into clear, business‑focused language for senior stakeholders.
  • Experience working directly with Fortune 500 or similarly large customers, understanding their governance, compliance, and security requirements.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple concurrent issues, manage escalations, and drive them to resolution while maintaining composure under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in a quantitative field.
  • Hands‑on experience with arenaflex Redshift Service or comparable cloud data‑warehouse platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Google BigQuery, Azure Synapse).
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate.
  • Background in database administration, data modeling, or ETL pipeline design.
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Experience contributing to open‑source projects or publishing technical blog posts.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of relational database internals, query execution plans, indexing strategies, and distributed storage architectures.
  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to dissect complex logs, metrics, and telemetry data to pinpoint root causes quickly.
  • Customer‑Centric Communication: Empathy, active listening, and the capacity to convey confidence while managing expectations.
  • Project Management: Proficiency with ticketing systems (Jira, ServiceNow), agile workflows, and documentation tools (Confluence, SharePoint).
  • Collaboration: Strong team player who thrives in cross‑functional environments and can influence without direct authority.
  • Innovation Drive: Passion for building reusable automation, improving processes, and championing best practices across the organization.
