Site Reliability Engineer (multiple)
Klaviyo is a company that empowers creators to leverage first-party data for personalized experiences. They are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to build foundational backend services, implement and maintain product features, and ensure software reliability through testing and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Build foundational backend services as well as tooling and automation to allow product teams to release and scale their software reliably and predictably
- Write tests for reliability while deploying and documenting code according to internal engineering standards and practices
- Responsible for end-to-end implementation and maintenance of product area features, using existing specifications and design to create working product with minimal assistance from senior engineers
- Responsible for the entire lifecycle of coding, including development, testing, production, and subsequent fixes and improvements
- Serve as on-call first responder for software owned
- Contribute to team documentation and test as directed
- Improve expertise in industry practices, patterns, tools, languages, and processes
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
- Completion of a university level course, research project, thesis, or internship involving the following: Creation of auto-scaling consumers on a specific topic; writing tests and completing front-end development work related to messaging systems or platforms; Writing documentation for testing and user flows; Python; Apache Pulsar; Kubernetes; Bash; Linux; Ruby; Go
- Administering cloud-based infrastructure, including Amazon Web Services (AWS); Linux operating systems and computer networking
- Troubleshooting production issues related to computer infrastructure, configuration, monitoring, and deployments
- Continuous integration and delivery
