Key Objective(s): The Social Media Content Creator will lead the creation of high-impact, social-first content across our organic channels. Organic content is the primary focus of this role, but the creator will also help produce variations that support paid social campaigns.

  • This is not a traditional 9–5 desk job. The magic of American Dream happens when our guests are here—which means weekends, holidays, and peak event times. We are looking for a creator with a flexible lifestyle who thrives in the action. You will work a majority on-site schedule, with a heavy focus on capturing content during peak weekend hours, while taking rest days during quieter weekdays.
  • This role produces daily content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other social platforms. It requires someone who is equal parts creator, storyteller, shooter, and editor, and who knows how to make native content that drives engagement, reach, and cultural relevance.

Primary Responsibilities: Content Creation (Primary Focus)

  • Produce, shoot, edit, and publish native social content across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other platforms.
  • Create platform-specific content that leverages hooks, trends, UGC styles, POVs, and cultural moments.
  • Develop and deliver a steady pipeline of daily/weekly content aligned with business priorities, seasonal goals, and cultural trends.

Cross-Property Capture & Event Coverage

  • Be where the action is: Prioritize shooting schedule around peak attendance and event times, specifically Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
  • Produce content across all American Dream categories, including:
  • Entertainment attractions (e.g. DreamWorks Water Park, Nickelodeon Universe).
  • Retail experiences across luxury and mainstream brands.
  • Dining experiences including cafés, restaurants, and food events.
  • Cultural/Seasonal experiences (holiday moments, celebrity appearances, special events).

Support for Paid Social (Secondary)

  • Adapt high-performing organic content into paid-optimized versions (cutdowns, hooks, CTAs).
  • Collaborate with performance marketing teams to supply assets used in ads and creator-led campaigns.

Workflow and Production

  • Pitch new content ideas weekly that align with business priorities.
  • Identify platform trends early and translate them into content that fits American Dream’s environment.
  • Provide on-camera presence as needed for POVs, walkthroughs, skits, and trend-driven content.
  • Manage a flexible calendar to ensure coverage of live events while utilizing weekday hours for editing, planning, and administrative tasks.

Desired Qualifications

  • Proven portfolio of content or social handles that has gone live on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube. (required for application).
  • Schedule Flexibility (Critical): Must be willing and able to work on-site to capture content.
  • Weekend Availability: Must be available to work weekends and holidays as a standard part of the role, with time off scheduled during weekdays.
  • 2–5 years of experience as a creator, digital storyteller, videographer, or similar role.
  • Strong shooting ability with mobile-first production and strong editing skills (e.g. CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut).
  • Deep understanding of social trends, formats, communities, and storytelling techniques.
  • Comfortable being on-camera when needed.
  • Ability to write engaging short form copy for captions, titles, and scripts
  • Experience creating content for entertainment, lifestyle, travel, or retail brands.
  • Basic design or motion graphics skills.
  • Experience collaborating with influencers and creators.
  • Familiarity with social analytics and tools such as Sprout Social, and native platform insights.
  • Reliable coverage of key weekend activations and holidays, and across American Dream attractions, shopping, dining, and experiences is a must.
  • Collaborative creative partner to the rest of the social media team and the marketing department.
