Key Account Manager, Amazon

The Key Account Manager (NAM), Amazon is responsible for driving gross shipments to/above goal, reporting on gross sales and POS performance vs plan & LY, inclusive of contributing causes and actions. This NAM owns evaluating and sharing risks and opportunities on a regular cadence because they are informed of internal operational status and external category and market trends. Additionally, this person will work directly with the Category Manager and Customer Marketer to ensure seamless onsite launches, catalog availability and assortment optimizations. This person will also work on digital content improvements, as well as handle all Andon Cords. The primary goal of this role is to own specific category sales plans that ladder to total Beauty & Home Care targets. They should be a supporting partner for the Amazon sales leaders and a major contributor in developing measures that will help grow share, improve item productivity, strengthen business relationships and accelerate growth. Responsibilities:

  • Provide Conair performance, competitive pressures and whitespace opportunities to inform Product team’s roadmap development
  • Build and execute promotional calendars to win at tentpole events, ramp new innovation, mitigate OIH and manage Amazon’s PPM
  • Responsible for deal funding checkbook to ensure promo spend is within budget, and validated by agreement/invoice
  • Monitor ratings & reviews for product and/or content improvements needed
  • Manage variation strategies to simplify consumer choice and maximize search rank
  • Partner with Operations to validate month-close agreement/invoice activities
  • New item setup builds in Vendor Central (including Vine, Born to Run etc) and maintaining existing active item updates in Amazon’s system
  • Partner with Analytics and Content Creation teams on ongoing keywords optimizations, incorporate seasonal keyword cadence
  • Verify ecommerce images/videos are accurate and updating as needed.
  • Determine and execute brand store update plans, calendar, deal inclusions etc

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 4+ years’ experience in ecommerce sales, trade marketing or planning with Amazon
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with high attention to detail
  • Proven ability to interpret data, tell a story, and provide actionable insights
  • Collaborator who works with urgency in solving problems and gaining alignment
  • Finger on the pulse of Beauty categories: trends, competitors, social-first go-to-market
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced training in Excel. Must be able to use advanced formulas, conditional formatting, pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.
  • Experience in forecasting based on history and trend 52 weeks out
  • Positive, up for the challenge and solutions-oriented team player who drives for results
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Beneficial Qualifications:

  • Experience with Amazon Vendor Central
  • Previous experience and/or understanding of UPP processes and in eCommerce.

Environmental Factors:

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to travel domestically as needed.
  • This position is ideally based in Stamford CT or Seattle WA
