Responsibilities

As a Ticket/Gate Agent, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Check-in and Boarding Process Management: Own the check-in process and boarding process, ensuring that customers have accurate travel documentation and are prepared for their journey.
• Gate Announcements and Customer Support: Make gate announcements and provide assistance to customers, including unaccompanied minors and those with disabilities.
• Baggage Handling: Tag and lift baggage from scales to conveyor belts, with some bags weighing up to 70 pounds.
• Loading Bridge Operations: Operate loading bridges and open, close, and secure aircraft doors.
• Passenger Escort: Escort unaccompanied minors and disabled passengers throughout the airport.
• Safety and Security: Prioritize the safety and security of self, others, and personal data.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency is required.
• Age and Authorization: Be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States.
• Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic Digital Literacy: Possess basic digital literacy skills.
• Physical Ability: Pass a physical ability test (PAT) and a Customer Service Assessment.
• Airport Requirements: Ability to hold airport-specific requirements such as a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal.

Nice-to-Haves

While not required, the following skills and qualifications are highly desirable:

• Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in customer-facing roles, particularly in the airline industry.
• Language Skills: Proficiency in multiple languages, including Spanish, French, or other languages spoken by our passengers.
• Airport Knowledge: Familiarity with airport operations, including security protocols and procedures.
