The Role

As a Virtual/Remote Benefits Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing top-notch customer service to our clients, ensuring their benefits enrollment and updates are accurate and efficient. You will work remotely, using your exceptional communication skills to build rapport with clients, respond to their inquiries, and resolve any issues that may arise. Your attention to detail, ability to multitask, and organizational skills will be essential in maintaining accurate records and meeting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

* Build rapport quickly and respond to plan participants with compassion via phone, email, and instant messaging.

  • Customize your service approach to accommodate various communication styles and maintain professionalism during challenging interactions.
  • Handle confidential information with utmost sensitivity and adhere to HIPAA and Data Privacy laws.
  • Maintain accurate call and case notes in a professional manner.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve client issues and ensure seamless service delivery.

What We're Looking For

* High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a call center environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and organize work effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to manage multiple computer windows simultaneously.
  • Typing speed of at least 30 words per minute.
  • Comfortable working in a virtual environment within a 1-hour radius of Richardson, TX.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Associate or Bachelor's degree is a plus.

  • Familiarity with health, welfare, and/or defined benefit pension plans.
  • Previous experience in a call center environment.
  • Proficiency in Spanish (read, write, speak).
