Key Responsibilities
As a Patient Account Representative, you'll be responsible for:
- Interacting with patients and callers to address billing and physician inquiries in a professional and empathetic manner
- Analyzing patient accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies, ensuring timely resolution through effective use of established processes
- Conveying information effectively, exercising active listening, and making sound judgments and decisions using logic and reasoning to identify and solve problems
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to resolve complex billing issues and ensure accurate and timely payment
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions and billing information
- Participating in ongoing training and professional development to stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
Required:
+ One year of experience in a healthcare setting + Strong communication and interpersonal skills + Ability to analyze complex information and make sound judgments + Proficiency in using technology, including computer software and communication tools
Desired:
+ One year of experience in a call center or healthcare setting with emphasis on experience regarding insurance, patient billing, and other office-related duties + High School Diploma or GED + Experience working with electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare software systems
