Job Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting our Veterinary Support team by:

  • Connecting directly with veterinary facilities to arrange prescription approvals, resolve client issues, and clarify order requests
  • Examining and resolving issues to determine proper solutions for clients and center partners, and following up on a case-by-case basis to resolve issues
  • Completing data entry of prescriptions into blithequark's healthcare software
  • Maintaining a high level of quality through data entry and order handling of veterinary pharmacy orders
  • Working with empathy, attention to detail, patience, compassion, and kindness to clients and partners alike
  • Demonstrating a willingness to learn and grow with our company
  • Communicating with veterinary facilities via telephone (and occasionally other stations on a case-by-case basis) with various topics, primarily using our internal program and systems to explore solutions and record center note accounts
  • Expecting a significant portion of the typical business day to be spent on outbound veterinary center/client telephone contacts

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2 years of experience working in a customer or healthcare-focused environment
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and listening)
  • Ability to multitask (e.g., chatting on the phone while exploring on the computer and taking notes)
  • A strong sense of ownership, self-motivation, and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook
  • High school education or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain a Pharmacy Technician License from the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy (if required)
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and perform well in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to adjust to changes as per the business needs of the organization
  • Ability to move schedule and stay at work longer than required depending on the situation by the specialty unit
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information
  • Ability to pass a background check
