The Role

As a Classroom Teacher on Special Assignment (10 Months) at Martin Luther King Jr Elementary, you will play a critical role in supporting the academic and social-emotional growth of our students. You will be responsible for:

• Developing and implementing engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of all students
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
• Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives
• Providing support and accommodations for students with diverse learning needs
• Participating in professional development and training to enhance teaching practices

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must:

• Possess a Bachelor's degree
• Be eligible for employment in the US and pass a criminal background check
• Hold a Preliminary or Clear California teaching credential authorizing instruction in core TK-12 curriculum
• Have completed online application, resume, and cover letter
• Provide two current professional references, including from a Supervisor
• Be able to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or commitment to weekly testing
