Job Overview
As a College Microbiology Virtual Tutor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality tutoring services to students in the field of microbiology. You will work with students to develop their understanding of complex microbiological concepts, and you will help them to build their confidence and skills in this subject area. You will also be responsible for creating and implementing lesson plans that cater to the unique needs of each student, and for providing regular progress reports to our office and families.
Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality tutoring services to students in the field of microbiology
- Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the unique needs of each student
- Create and maintain a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Provide regular progress reports to our office and families
- Effectively balance tutoring hours given for each assigned student
- Successfully and professionally teach students to fit their individual needs
- Service existing clients' concerns, questions, and requests
- Follow-up with office when a student's enrollment package is low on hours
- Candidates must only service students whose needs meet theirs
Minimum Qualifications
* Minimum 2 years of experience in the education field and industry preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in tutoring/teaching in specialized education fields preferred
- Credentialed tutors and/or graduate degrees are a plus but not a requirement
- Experience with basic Database/ Data Entry
- Ability to prepare accordingly for each tutoring session (lesson plan)
- Having a personality that is suited for different types of students
- Strong administration skills
- Strong typing, PC and recording skills
- Having reliable transportation with current car insurance is a must
- Access to the internet, a computer, and a smart phone

* Experience working with students in the field of microbiology
- Strong knowledge of microbiological concepts and principles
- Ability to create and implement engaging and effective lesson plans
- Experience with online tutoring platforms and tools
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
