About the Role

As a Data Scientist at Walmart Global Tech, you'll be part of a dynamic team that analyzes complex data sets to inform strategic business decisions. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the organization to identify opportunities, develop predictive models, and implement data-driven solutions that drive value for our customers and the business. Key Responsibilities

• Driving Business Impact: Develop and implement advanced analytics models to drive business outcomes, including predictive modeling, statistical inference, and data visualization.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with data engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and communicate insights and recommendations.
• Exploratory Data Analysis: Conduct thorough exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and correlations, and develop hypotheses to test and validate.
• Model Development and Deployment: Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and algorithms to drive business value, using techniques such as SVM, Random Forest, Bayesian inference, and neural networks.
• Process Improvement: Develop and implement processes and tools to monitor, analyze, and continuously improve model performance and data accuracy.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering.
• Proven experience as a Data Scientist or in a related field, with a track record of developing and deploying advanced analytics models.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages, such as Python, R, or SQL, and experience with data manipulation and analysis libraries.
• Experience with machine learning techniques, including supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, and natural language processing.
• Strong understanding of statistical modeling and inference, including hypothesis testing and confidence intervals.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following skills and experience can be a plus:

• Experience with big data technologies, such as Hadoop, Spark, or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with cloud-based platforms, such as AWS or Azure, and experience with containerization using Docker.
