About the Role
We’re looking for a Sr. Associate to join our high-performing Consumer Finance team, with a dedicated focus on promotions and retention marketing. In this role, you'll partner closely with teams across DoorDash—including Marketing, Strategy & Operations, and Product—to ensure we’re investing in the right promotional levers to drive customer engagement, retention, and long-term value. You’ll build and manage models that help us track, forecast, and optimize promotional spend, with a strong emphasis on incrementality, efficiency, and customer behavior trends. This is a high-impact role that will enable you to shape the strategy behind our retention efforts by identifying key investment opportunities and quantifying their potential impact. - Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Strategy & Operations, Product, and Analytics teams to improve customer retention and optimize marketing efficiency.
- Drive strategic decision-making in a fast-paced, evolving environment by leveraging data to enhance visibility into customer performance and surface new business opportunities.
- Identify and size key risks and opportunities across the business, providing actionable insights to inform investment decisions.
- Collaborate with Accounting and Corporate Finance to analyze and explain month-end variances, supporting accurate and timely financial close reporting.
- Lead and support high-impact initiatives aimed at improving, automating, and scaling forecasting, reporting tools, and operational processes.
We're excited about you because…
- 3-5 years of strategic finance, corporate finance, or investment banking experience at a high-growth technology startup or well-established company
- Experience working on projects that require cross-functional collaboration and ability to influence partners at all levels within an organization
- Advanced Excel & financial modeling skills. Able to build robust financial models used by teams throughout the company, and to size opportunities and build business cases for pursuing new initiatives
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Basic SQL proficiency (or willingness to learn). Able to manipulate large data sets, uncover hidden insights in our data, and meaningfully improve our understanding of our business through this process
