Entry Level Bookkeeper

Yes, we handle reconciliations, payroll, and tax forms—but what we really do is help small businesses thrive by being the reliable, proactive, and personable team behind the numbers. We’re looking for an Entry-Level Bookkeeper—someone excited to roll up their sleeves, learn the ropes, and eventually become the go-to expert for our clients. What will you do? You’ll start with strong support, clear training, and hands-on experience. With time and trust, you’ll grow into a confident advisor for your client portfolio. In the beginning, you’ll:

  • Help with data entry and categorization in QuickBooks Online
  • Assist in reconciling bank and credit card accounts
  • Work on clean-up projects alongside senior bookkeepers
  • Learn to prepare monthly financial reports
  • Support payroll and sales tax filings
  • Maintain organized, accurate digital records
  • Join team check-ins, ask questions, and learn every day

As you grow, you'll:

  • Manage recurring bookkeeping workflows for your own client list
  • Communicate directly with clients about questions and deliverables
  • Help train future new hires (yep, one day you’ll be the expert)
  • Get comfortable with year-end processes and advisory conversations
  • Start building your long-term path in accounting, tax, or operations

Required Skills

  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Available full-time, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Central Time.
  • This is a salaried position, so while we respect work-life boundaries, occasional work outside standard hours may be required—especially during deadlines, tax season, or client crunches.
  • Comfortable working remotely and self-managing your time
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Reliable, organized, and growth-oriented
  • Accounting degree or coursework (a plus, but not required)

Bonus Points (AKA “Things That Will Make You Look Awesome”)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • Any prior QuickBooks Online experience
  • Exposure to small business finance or administrative roles
  • Internships or part-time jobs in a financial or office setting
  • A desire to specialize in bookkeeping, tax, or client advisory work long-term
