Night Shift Dispatcher - Remote Opportunity

Join our team at Workwarp as a Night Shift Dispatcher, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation network. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating with drivers, managing routes, and providing exceptional customer service.

About the Role

• Location: Remote
• Compensation: Competitive salary ($46,000.00 per year) and comprehensive benefits package
• Schedule: 4-day work week (Thursday - Sunday, 9:30 pm - 7:30 am)
• Start Date: Immediate openings available

Job Summary

Under general supervision, the Night Shift Dispatcher will process messages and phone calls from drivers, send load and customer information, and ensure drivers are aware of their current plan and pre-plans for the future. The successful candidate will strive to maintain and improve driver retention efforts, communicate effectively with the day-shift team, and participate in company-wide training to improve self-learning and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispatch drivers and process inbound messages via the In-Cab Messaging System and phone calls
• Send load plans, customer information, route suggestions, and fuel solutions in a timely manner
• Update ETA’s and PTA’s to ensure accuracy
• Notify day-shift of any changes to pre-plans or load plans
• Plan drivers and set up rescues as needed
• Maintain contact with drivers throughout their shifts and address any routing issues
• Monitor road conditions, construction zones, and accidents to revise routes as needed
• Update customers on the status of their deliveries, including any delays

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1 year of dispatching experience preferred
• Ability to work alone during the shift and lift up to 20 lbs.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Experience with transportation, computer systems, satellite systems, and Innovative software beneficial
