Role Overview:

We're seeking a highly motivated and organized Data Governance & Management Analyst to join our team at American Express. As a key member of our Financial Data Governance Group, you will play a crucial role in defining the future of data management in finance and ensuring the use of reliable information for critical processes, decision-making, and accountability.

Job Summary:

• Manage financial data in accordance with the company's data management policy
• Develop dashboards, reports, and data visualization packages to support business processes
• Conduct root cause analysis of data quality issues and improve management's analysis and response
• Support strategic improvements to the data monitoring process and enhance data quality and analysis tools
• Collaborate with various teams, including finance technology change, corporate data management, and risk management

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of experience in finance and management

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to gather business needs and guide the implementation of technical solutions
• Previous experience in implementing data management and quality programs is preferred
• Familiarity with Agile or SAFE workflows is a plus
