Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation guidelines
• Divide and organize food on serving dishes, ensuring portion control and plate presentation
• Cook, mix, and season ingredients to create dressings, sauces, marinades, fillings, and spreads
• Work with a variety of food items, including eggs, gluten, yeast, tree nuts, and more
• Wash, peel, cut, scoop, dice, and julienne vegetables and fruits
• Plan, measure, mix, and cook hors d'oeuvres, salads, pastas, sandwich fillings, waffles, and other food items
• Operate cooking equipment, such as grills, gas ranges, electric reach, grills, deep fryers, serving tables, waffle irons, frying pans, skillets, and more
• Work in various stations, including storage prep, cold prep, construction, and hot prep stations
• Maintain kitchen safety and sanitation, including temperature control and HACCP protocols
• Assist the chef in preparing items for guests with special dietary needs
• Clean kitchen equipment and maintain a clean and organized workspace

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., culinary arts, hospitality)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to lift up to 50-75 pounds and stand for long periods
• Basic knowledge of cooking equipment and kitchen safety protocols

Preferred Qualifications:

• Enrollment in a culinary education program or equivalent
• Bilingual or multilingual skills
