Account Executive, Group Sales [Remote]

Account Executive, Group Sales or Business Development Headquarters - Lincoln Union Phoenix, AZ The Account Executive, Group Sales is responsible for generating new group ticket revenue and creating memorable group experiences for the Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury, and PHX Arena. This role focuses on prospecting, cultivating, and closing new business, while also renewing and expanding existing group accounts. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a competitive sales environment, is passionate about building relationships, and excels in connecting with schools, youth sports teams, businesses, and local community organizations. We're seeking someone eager to grow, with a coachable mindset and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment. This position also plays a role in shaping the overall group sales strategy to support both short- and long-term organizational goals. Additionally, Group Sales Executive will manage, renew, and grow assigned accounts while collaborating with internal teams to plan and execute group events, theme nights, and programming. Responsibilities:

  • Proactively generate group ticket revenue across all Player 15 Group properties through outbound sales efforts including phone calls, emails, virtual meetings, and in-person presentations.
  • Consistently exceed weekly, monthly, and annual sales goals and sales activity minimum standards.
  • Create tailored experiences and packages for group leaders to drive attendance and engagement.
  • Identify and prospect new business opportunities through lead generation, referrals, networking events, and market research.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects while tracking all activity using internal system (e.g., CRM, etc.)
  • Provide best-in-class service by managing the planning, communication, and execution of group outings.
  • Attend games and events to host clients, execute group programs, and drive upsell opportunities.
  • Support department-wide initiatives that contribute to continuous improvement and innovation in group ticketing strategy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Minimum Criteria:

  • 1-3 years of sales experience (outbound, ticket sales, B2B, fundraising, or hospitality sales preferred).
  • A self-driven and dedicated attitude, disciplined work ethic and motivation to drive revenue growth, while creating long-term customer relationships.
  • A proven record of understanding customer needs in a commission, bonus, and/or metrics-driven environment
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Criteria:

  • Coachable, collaborative, and driven with a strong work ethic and commitment to individual and team success.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for relationship building.
  • Comfortable with cold calling, in-person meetings, and event hosting
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Proficient in Ticketmaster Archtics, Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
  • Strong desire to grow a career in sports ticket sales and service.
