Cadence 3 is a strategic marketing and content agency supporting some of the most innovative teams at Microsoft. We’re looking for a Senior Technical Writer as an integrated technical marketing consultant who can turn complexity into clarity, support high-visibility launches, and help technical audiences understand the value of Windows features, security enhancements, and Autopilot deployment tools. This role is best suited for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, operates with a high degree of independence, and is comfortable navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities. If you’re a proactive communicator with strong Microsoft ecosystem knowledge, we want to talk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for Windows platform capabilities, including Autopilot, deployment, endpoint security, and device management
  • Create GitHub documentation, store docs, internal/external FAQs, blog posts, and other technical content
  • Build and contribute to Microsoft Learn modules and product marketing materials
  • Translate complex engineering content into clear, accessible materials for IT professionals, end users, and other stakeholders
  • Collaborate with product marketing, engineering, and field teams to ensure alignment and technical accuracy
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, often under tight deadlines and launch pressures
  • Ensure all content aligns with Microsoft’s style guides and brand voice

Qualifications

Required:

  • 8+ years of experience as a technical writer, product content developer, or content strategist within the tech industry
  • Deep knowledge of Windows OS, Autopilot, endpoint management, and platform security features
  • Hands-on experience working in GitHub, including managing documentation in Markdown and working with pull requests
  • Experience creating content for Microsoft Learn, Docs.microsoft.com, or similar technical content platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to operate with independence, work through ambiguity, and proactively solve problems without needing constant direction
  • Experience working with or supporting Microsoft product teams

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft’s content structure, tone, and technical documentation standards
  • Strong understanding and experience with Microsoft Style Guide and content libraries
  • Prior experience supporting enterprise-level IT audiences and device deployment scenarios
  • Experience with Docs-as-code tooling, GitHub Actions, Markdown, and accessibility standards
