Hardware Asset Manager

As the Hardware Asset Manager at Keywords Studios, you will support the comprehensive management of the company's hardware assets. This includes supporting the lifecycle management from procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal of hardware assets. You will help ensure these assets are managed efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with company policies and licensing agreements.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in hardware asset management, IT support, or related field

• Basic understanding of hardware technologies and IT infrastructure

• Some familiarity with ITIL framework and asset management tools (training can be provided)

• Good organisational and analytical skills with attention to detail

• Effective communication skills and willingness to learn negotiation techniques

• Ability to work independently while seeking guidance when needed
• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Business Administration, or related field

• Interest in pursuing relevant certifications in asset management or ITIL with company support

Responsibilities

• Asset Lifecycle Support: Assist in managing the entire lifecycle of hardware assets, including acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and disposal under senior guidance.

• Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records and track the location, utilisation, and lifecycle status of all hardware assets using established systems and procedures.

• Policy and Compliance: Support the implementation of hardware asset management policies, ensuring compliance with licensing, warranty, and support agreements.

• Vendor Coordination: Assist with vendor communications and support procurement teams with hardware purchases and leases under supervision.

• Budget Monitoring: Monitor hardware asset budgets and assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities with guidance from senior management.

• Risk Assessment: Help identify risks associated with hardware assets and support the implementation of risk mitigation strategies.

• Reporting and Analysis: Generate regular reports on asset status, performance, and compliance using established templates and tools. Provide data for decision-making regarding hardware asset needs and replacements.

• Collaboration: Work closely with IT and other departments to understand hardware requirements and ensure alignment with organisational needs.
