DNS DevOps Engineer

About Your Business Area/Department:

This role is part of a global Infrastructure team responsible for automating and operating our critical DNS infrastructure across cloud and on-prem environments. The team operates under a Follow-the-Sun model, ensuring 24/7 support and collaboration across regions.

Summary of the role:

We are looking for a DNS DevOps Engineer who is essential to ensure the sta-bility, performance, and scalability of DNS services across a multi-cloud envi-ronment, including Infoblox, BIND, and cloud-native DNS platforms.

You will work in a Follow-the-Sun model, collaborating with international teams to support a highly available and secure DNS platform. This is a hands-on engineering role combining Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), automation, and operational excellence.

In this role you’ll:

· Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for DNS infrastructure using Terraform.

· Design and implement automation for DNS operations and deployments.

· Operate and support DNS services across Azure, GCP, AWS, and on-prem environments (Infoblox, BIND).

· Ensure high availability, performance, and security of DNS infrastructure.

· Troubleshoot DNS-related issues and participate in incident response and root cause analysis.

· Collaborate with internal teams to support DNS needs for applications and services.

· Improve monitoring and observability using tools like Prometheus and Grafana.

· Contribute to DNS architecture design and standards.

· Participate in an on-call rotation for 2nd level DNS support.

About the ideal candidate:

· Deep understanding of DNS fundamentals (record types, resolution flow, zone delegation, DNSSEC).

· Hands-on experience with BIND and/or Infoblox in production.

· Familiarity with cloud-native DNS (Azure DNS, Google Cloud DNS, Route 53).

· Proficiency in Terraform and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Go).

· Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, and tools like Jen-kins, Docker.

· Knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).

· Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

· ITIL awareness or certification is a plus.

· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field—or equivalent practical experience.

· 5+ years of experience in DNS engineering, network operations, or DevOps roles.

· Experience managing DNS in large-scale or enterprise environments.

· Exposure to multi-cloud environments is highly desirable.

· Relevant certifications (e.g., Terraform Associate, Azure/GCP, Infoblox) are a plus.

What we can offer you:

· Get rewarded with competitive remuneration, individual and company annual bonus, vacation and holiday paid time off, health insurances and other competitive benefits.

· Work from anywhere: onsite, hybrid or fully remote.

· Professional development to broaden your knowledge and enhance your skills with on-line learning hubs packed with technical and soft skills training that allow you to de-velop and grow.
