Staff Product Manager

Work from home Full-time role Hiring

We’re not just building better tech. We’re rewriting how data moves and what the world can do with it. With Confluent, data doesn’t sit still. Our platform puts information in motion, streaming in near real-time so companies can react faster, build smarter, and deliver experiences as dynamic as the world around them.

It takes a certain kind of person to join this team. Those who ask hard questions, give honest feedback, and show up for each other. No egos, no solo acts. Just smart, curious humans pushing toward something bigger, together.

One Confluent. One Team. One Data Streaming Platform.

About the Role:

As a Staff Product Manager, you will be a key leader, working closely with engineering, go-to-market, and partner teams to define and deliver products that simplify the deployment and management of Confluent Platform across various environments and enable strategic go-to-market channels through OEM. You will deeply understand the needs of DevOps teams, platform engineers, and potential OEM partners, translating those needs into a compelling product vision and detailed requirements.

What You Will Do:
  • Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for Confluent for Kubernetes (CFK), ensuring it meets the evolving needs of customers deploying and managing Confluent Platform on Kubernetes.

  • Drive the product strategy and roadmap for Confluent's Ansible playbooks, catering to users who prefer or require Ansible for automation and deployment.

  • Develop and champion the product strategy for Confluent's OEM program, identifying target partners, defining integration requirements, and enabling successful go-to-market motions.

  • Gather and prioritize product requirements from a variety of sources, including customer feedback, market analysis, competitive landscape, and internal stakeholders.

  • Work closely with engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch and iteration.

  • Collaborate with product marketing, sales, and partner teams to develop go-to-market strategies, messaging, and sales enablement materials for deployment automation and OEM solutions.

  • Analyze product usage and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

  • Act as a subject matter expert for CFK, Ansible, and Confluent's OEM capabilities internally and externally.

  • Present product strategies and updates to internal teams, customers, and partners.

What You Will Bring:
  • Experience with Enterprise software deployment, monitoring and security architectures

  • Proven track record owning 0→1 or complex technical products at scale.

  • Deep understanding of Kubernetes, distributed systems, and cloud-native infrastructure (preferred: AWS, GCP, Azure).

  • Experience building and supporting enterprise-grade products as an engineer, product manager, or solutions architect.

  • Experience building, writing, maintaining and defending a clear product roadmap and backlog backed by user stories and customer research.

  • 7+ years of product management experience, with at least 3+ in platform/infrastructure domains.

  • Exceptional written and presentation skills. At Confluent we rely heavily on documents to explain the vision and facilitate concrete communication.

  • Ability to build relationships with co-workers and customers located around the world.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive business outcomes through product changes
