Job title: Weekend toddler/preschool soccer coach Company: Soccer Shots Job description : Soccer Shots is an engaging children's soccer program with a focus on character development. Our caring team positively impacts children's lives on and off the field through best-in-class coaching, curriculum, and communication. We specialize in programs for children ages 2 through 8 years old and are dedicated to providing high-quality, foundational soccer training that prepares children for a lifetime of soccer. We are looking for caring and engaging coaches who can work a minimum of once per week and can commit to at least 8 weeks of the same day/time. We have weekend and weekday evening programs that meet at parks across the city. Soccer Shots programs are offered during select weeks of the year; thus, employment is seasonal. All employment is at-will. Though we continue to grow, we are still a family business at heart. We aim to develop each of our coaches in areas including leadership, early childhood education, and sports management. Why coach for Soccer Shots? Best-in-class, nationally-recognized training program to prepare you to teach and coach soccer skills to children ages 2-8. Ongoing education to continuously improve in your coaching. Compensation starting at a minimum of $15 per session, with an opportunity to increase. Sessions last from 30 to 45-minutes in length. Flexible hours include opportunities to coach sessions in the morning, afternoons, or weekends. Fun, engaging, and creative culture within a growing business. Requirements Must love impacting children and the game of soccer. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. Experience working with young children Must be at least 18 years of age. Soccer playing or coaching background (preferred) Responsibilities It is a coach's responsibility to manage and direct all duties related to the operation of a Soccer Shots session, including, but not limited to, the following: Preparation Attends coaches meeting at beginning of season. Reviews online curriculum (prepared for you ahead of time, and aligned with Colorado state early education standards). Maintains equipment in proper condition and arrives on time to set-up field for session. Coaching Ensures the safety and well-being of every child. For childcare sites, gathers children from classroom and returns after session (note: for public location, no pick-up/drop-off required). Follows proper on-site protocol for each location, as prepared and provided by Soccer Shots supervisor. Conducts fun and positive 30 to 45-minute sessions, following the weekly Soccer Shots curriculum. Communication/Administration Communicates in a timely fashion with supervisor about any changes, challenges, or important information. Completes online attendance sheet for each session. Submits time sheet per payroll policy. Returns equipment and leftover supplies to supervisor upon completion of each season. Soccer Shots coaches are: Safety-conscious: the top priority is the safety of children under their care. Caring: engage with each child through specific and positive affirmation. Organized: plan ahead and conduct each session according to the provided curriculum. Responsible: commit to doing what is expected of them as an outstanding coach and \"face\" of Soccer Shots.
