About the position The Manager of Flight Operations ODA at United Airlines is responsible for leading the Flight Operations Aircrew Certification ODA program, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and internal audit standards. This hybrid role involves collaboration with various departments, performance management of direct reports, and representation of the ODA team in company and industry forums. The position is crucial for maintaining the quality and accuracy of ODA-related training and operational materials. Responsibilities • Lead the Flight Operations ODA team and ensure compliance with FAA regulations. , • Manage performance and professional development of direct reports. , • Attend regular meetings to stay updated on AC ODA workloads and needs. , • Represent United Airlines Flight Operations AC ODA in company and industry forums. , • Direct weekly audits related to ODA activities and report on utilization metrics. , • Assist in maintaining and distributing the procedures manual for Unit Members and stakeholders. , • Ensure standardization and accuracy of ODA-related training and records tracking systems. Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent. , • 4+ years' experience in Flight Operations. , • Knowledge of FAA Orders and FARs. , • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, Outlook, OneNote, Teams. , • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. , • Reliable and punctual attendance. Nice-to-haves • Bachelor's degree or related experience. , • 1+ years managing direct reports. , • Experience with Pilot Training Records and/or Pilot Training Scheduling. , • Ability to work with different levels of management and staff.
