Job title: Tutor Company: El Paso Leadership Academy Job description : Primary Purpose: Primary responsibility is to encourage academic growth in scholars to help them reach proficiency at grade level. Education/Certification High School Diploma Two (2) years successful completion of higher education, preferred Experience: 1-2 years of classroom or tutoring experience preferred Responsibilities and Duties: * Utilize EPLA's tutoring programs to deliver supplemental instruction to students during school and in after-school settings. Maintain documentation of tutoring sessions. Communicate with campus personnel about student progress. Attend ongoing professional development. Build relationships with students. Equipment Used: Computer, copier, and audiovisual equipment Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Maintains emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, keeling, pushing, and pulling. Moves small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom or adaptive equipment.
