Employer Industry: Pediatric Healthcare Why consider this job opportunity: - Starting pay at $29.54/hr, competitive based on education and experience - Entirely remote or work-from-home position, with occasional on-site meetings - Opportunity to work in a recognized top pediatric hospital and make a difference in children's lives - Comprehensive benefits plans designed to meet the needs of employees and their families - Supportive and inclusive work environment committed to diversity and employee well-being What to Expect (Job Responsibilities): - Manage daily functions of facility coding, including coding, abstracting, and provider communication - Evaluate and modify internal work processes to comply with regulatory standards while protecting patient privacy - Provide education and support to coding staff and address any coding barriers - Serve as a resource for data interpretation and coding inquiries from hospital staff - Collaborate on internal and external hospital projects related to the coding section What is Required (Qualifications): - Associate's Degree and 3-5 years of experience supervising staff and managing healthcare workflows - Must obtain one of the following certifications within 90 days: Certified Outpatient Coder, Certified Professional Coder, Registered Health Information Technician, or Registered Health Information Administrator How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications): - Experience in a pediatric healthcare setting - Strong knowledge of ICD-9-CM, ICD-10-CM, PCS, and CPT coding systems - Proven ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams #PediatricHealthcare #RemoteWork #CodingSupervisor #DiversityAndInclusion #CompetitivePay We prioritize candidate privacy and champion equal-opportunity employment.
