The Opportunity The Role - You will identify, shape and deliver commercially successful shows that have a broad appeal and that will bring joy to a mass audience. You will have a strong instinct/sense of what makes great shows that people will watch and enjoy. You will also have a strong sense of narrative structure, a regional sensibility and the ability to guide a project from pitch/idea to script delivery.- This is a demanding and fast-moving role that will require a proactive and positive thinker with good judgment and the ability to juggle multiple and diverse responsibilities across projects at varying stages, from creative development and creative execution. Responsibilities : - Acting as lead creative during the Development, pre-production, production and post-production to deliver creatively excellent shows. - Slate planning, considering genre gaps in line with current slot targets, programming from other teams working on content that could be relevant to our audience. - Actively searching for new ideas, including but not limited to building relationships with new writers and exploring IP opportunities, both internal (existing Netflix shows from other regions ripe for adaptation or Italian titles ripe for export) and external (books, games or podcasts that we can adapt into films or series). - Acting as a team resource to promote creative brainstorming, including leading the editorial meeting, creating time for brainstorming events or masterclasses to spark creative thinking, and acting as a second pair of eyes for any team member (Film, Series, or Licensed) who needs another perspective on creative. - Filmmaker joy - a well-executed onboarding and hand-off process for partners during the transition from Development to Production and Post. Qualifications : - Experience with scripted long-form production executive management in the field and/or on a network/studio level for series. - Ability to handle a fast-paced environment, simultaneously supervising several projects in various phases of development and production (from evaluation to production through delivery) - Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working directly with talent and talent representation, in meetings and on shoots/sets. - A growth mindset - you believe your talents and skills can develop and grow through hard work, good strategy and input from others. - Team player who operates in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. - Ability to be discrete and maintain confidential information. - Respect and understanding of Netflix culture. - High tolerance for change and the capacity to accomplish enormous amounts of work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. - Innovative thinker who can take creative risks and think out of the box. - Fluent in Italian and proficient with communicating in English. - Excellent knowledge of the Italian creative market.
