Your Mission is Ours.Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Early Career Procurement Representative. In this role, you will:
- Source, negotiate and purchase machinery, equipment, tools, raw material, packaging materials, parts, services, and/or supplies necessary for operation of an organization.
- Compile and analyze statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives.
- Monitor performance of suppliers. Compiles information to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes.
- Evaluate areas of opportunity to leverage material acquisitions. Tracks data to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes.
- Negotiate with suppliers and analyzes suppliers' operations to determine factors that affect prices and to determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.
- Review proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up orders placed, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records. May prepare request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Project Management, Operations Management or related discipline from an accredited college/university.
- Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
- Experience with ERP systems
- Previous supply chain/procurement-related experience
- Strong analytical/data analytics skills
- Customer Service Experience
- Some negotiation expertise
