Entry Level Mechanic

Overview: We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Mechanic to join our Myrtle Beach team. As part of our dynamic and fast-paced work environment, you will help maintain a diverse fleet of diesel, gas, hydraulic, and electric concrete cutting equipment, along with their transport and support vehicles. You’ll be expected to work both independently and collaboratively, completing assigned tasks with minimal supervision. The right candidate will be on time, reliable, and ready to jump in wherever the team needs assistance. Job Responsibilities:

• Adapt quickly to new tasks and shifting priorities as they arise.
• Assist in maintaining shop cleanliness, facilities, parts inventory, and shop organization.
• Perform vehicle and equipment maintenance tasks including oil changes, battery tests, and part replacements.
• Assist with repairs on trucks, heavy equipment, and support vehicles (mechanical systems, air brake systems, transmissions, pneumatic systems).
• Help with pick-up and delivery of vehicles, parts, and supplies for both shop and field operations locally and statewide.
• Physically capable of standing, bending, kneeling, crawling, and lifting up to 50 lbs with minimal or no assistance.

Skill Requirements:

• Basic understanding of hydraulic systems, including diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and interpreting system diagrams.
• Basic knowledge of DC electrical circuits and components, with the ability to carry out small repairs and procedures.
• Willingness to learn and apply new techniques to service and repair a variety of equipment.
• Comfortable with a hands-on approach and a quick problem-solving mindset.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience in a repair shop setting or technical school education related to mechanical systems.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to complete a DOT physical and possess a valid DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
• Must provide your own basic hand tools.
• Must pass a preemployment drug test.

Job Type:

• Full-time
• Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour (Depending on experience)
