Manufacturing Operator - 3rd Shift,$19.50 an hour and up (Onsite)
About the position The position involves operating NC milling and grinding machines, as well as vertical turret lathes, to perform production operations on various weldments and assemblies. The role requires learning to set up equipment, verify finished work against specifications, and maintain machines through preventive maintenance. This is a 3rd shift position that emphasizes collaboration with engineers and quality assurance personnel to resolve machining issues and assist in process development.
Responsibilities
- Learn to set up and operate NC milling/grinding machines and vertical turret lathes.

- Work from operation sheets, part travelers, BOROPS, and oral instructions to set up equipment for various machining operations.

- Verify conformance of finished work to specifications using precision measuring instruments.

- Obtain operator certification to accept/reject parts.

- Perform total preventive maintenance (TPM) on machines.

- Collaborate with engineers, quality assurance, and production personnel to resolve machining problems.
Requirements
- High School or General Equivalency Diploma/HiSET.

- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

- US Citizenship required due to government contracts.

- 1+ years of manufacturing, automotive, or related trade experience.

- Ability to make computations involving decimals and fractions.
