We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Healthcare Documentation Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in transcribing medical document, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with industry standards. This position requires familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to navigate various systems effectively. Duties

  • Transcribe documents for a thriving Hematology and Oncology Medical Practice.
  • Review and verify patient information for completeness and accuracy.
  • Retrieving medical information from the electronic health record (EHR) systems while adhering to confidentiality protocols.
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to documentation.
  • Stay updated on changes in medical terminology, medications, and practices to ensure effective communication within the office.

Requirements

  • Previous transcription experience in a medical setting is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology as well as pharmacology.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Proficient in using computer systems and software related to document management.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with healthcare professionals.
