YouTube Content Producer - U.S. Political News (Remote)
About us Darkins Media Network is a political media company producing conservative commentary and breaking news coverage. Our flagship show, The DeVory Darkins Show, reaches millions of viewers weekly across YouTube, X (Twitter), Substack, and podcast platforms. Job Summary We’re hiring a YouTube Content Producer to lead and manage daily publishing and content flow for our YouTube Channel, Substack, and X Account. You will be writing headlines, summaries, creating thumbnails, and organizing daily uploads. You’ll work with clippers and editors to publish content quickly and clearly. You will also be required to edit clips yourself as needed. If you want a model for the type of operation we run, study Forbes Breaking News or LiveNOW from Fox.
Responsibilities
- Review daily clips from congressional hearings, gaggles, POTUS appearances, and White House briefings
- Write sharp, YouTube-optimized titles, descriptions, and summaries
- Tag and organize each clip by speaker, topic, and urgency
- Collaborate with Video Clippers and Short Form editors to ensure every clip is properly timed, formatted, and branded
- Upload to YouTube and Substack with formatting, thumbnail coordination, and tagging
- Track emerging narratives and flag viral or culturally charged moments
- Use Trello and Slack to maintain speed and coordination
Requirements
- Must be experienced in American politics
- Comfortable working within a conservative-leaning editorial environment
- Strong experience with YouTube SEO, clickable titles, and thumbnail pairing
- Ability to move fast and stay accurate under pressure
- Native English writing required — must be able to craft summaries and headlines with tone and urgency
- Familiar with Trello, Dropbox, Slack, CapCut, and YouTube Studio
- Must work U.S. hours (AM or PM shift)
Experience
- 2+ years in YouTube content production or digital news publishing
- Proven track record creating or managing high-performing political content
- Experience writing headlines and summaries that drive engagement
- Substack, newsletter, or blog publishing experience is a plus
Skills
- YouTube SEO + metadata tagging
- Title writing with emotional and political impact
- Summary writing and narrative awareness
- Trello + Slack workflow management
- Understanding of the conservative media landscape
Bonus
- Familiarity with the structure and speed of Forbes Breaking News or LiveNOW from Fox
- Experience formatting Substack posts or uploading podcast content
- Skilled in clipping, editing, branding, and uploading to YouTube
