Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems located in Palmdale, California, has an opening for a Principal Structural Analysis Engineer. This role is assigned to a 4/10 2nd shift schedule. Typical hours are Monday - Thursday 3:00pm-1:30am. Essential Functions Metallic and Composite Structural Analysis Engineer ? Position requires experience in metallic structural analysis methods and documentation, detailed analysis procedures, load paths, load distribution, sizing, fittings/fasteners/joints/splices, acoustics/vibration familiarity, structural integrity plan, design criteria, stability, crippling, durability analysis and finite element modeling of structure. Desired skills include familiarity with layout sizing, and structural integrity evaluations. Basic Qualifications ? Basic Qualifications include a Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, or Civil) and a minimum of 5 years of experience in Aerospace structural analysis or MS degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, or Civil) with 3 years of experience in Aerospace structural analysis ? Ability to obtain and maintain an active DOD Secret clearance Preferred Qualifications ? Previous experience performing structural analysis on the F35 Program, and familiar with the Lockheed Martin tools such as IMAT, IDAT, and PDM. ? Salary Range: $110,300 - $165,500 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
