About the position The Inventory Control Center position at Dollar Tree involves coordinating the reconciliation of inventory discrepancies and ensuring efficient inventory management within the Distribution Center. The role requires effective communication with various departments, maintaining accurate reports, and resolving issues related to inventory and accounting discrepancies. The position demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and adherence to safety procedures while promoting a safe working environment. Responsibilities ? Coordinates resolution of unavailable quantity issues in a timely manner. , ? Reviews paperwork for accuracy and determines solutions for discrepancies. , ? Develops and maintains production and quality-related reports accurately. , ? Analyzes and resolves host discrepancies in a timely manner. , ? Coordinates and audits quality and production reports comprehensively. , ? Monitors and analyzes reserve and pick utilization efficiency. , ? Ensures efficient utilization of flow-through areas. , ? Researches, resolves, and communicates accounting discrepancies promptly. , ? Organizes Inventory Control functions and instructs Team Members in processes effectively. , ? Processes all merchandise returns to vendors. , ? Processes damaged merchandise for insurance claims by taking photographs and initiating forms. , ? Re-tickets/re-packages merchandise as instructed and initiates appropriate vendor chargebacks. , ? Sets up all flow-through and storage items in Catalyst and reports movements. , ? Performs inventory adjustments regarding flow-through and storage items. , ? Maintains appropriate files and confidentiality of sensitive information. , ? Follows safety procedures and operates P.I.T. equipment safely. , ? Maintains an organized work area and promotes a safe working environment. , ? Follows all Company policies and procedures. , ? Performs all other duties as assigned. Requirements ? High school diploma preferred. , ? Four to six months of clerical or similar work experience in a Retail Distribution or Warehouse environment preferred. , ? Basic knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows is required. , ? Working knowledge of WMS preferred. , ? Ability to frequently lift up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift up to 25 pounds, and rarely up to 60 pounds. , ? Adequate fitness level to meet the demands of frequent lifting, walking, standing, moderate climbing of stairs, occasional sitting, stooping, and kneeling. Nice-to-haves ? Experience in inventory management or control processes. , ? Familiarity with safety procedures in a warehouse environment.
