Job Summary The Security Guard is responsible for promoting and maintaining a secure campus environment They provide for the safety and welfare of students faculty and staff on the campus by monitoring maintaining and enforcing the rules regulations and policies of the institution in the evening hours Experience Required Minimum High School or GED equivalent 1 year of experience in law enforcement or related field Must pass background check Preferred Associates Degree in law enforcement criminal justice or similar field 3 years of experience as a security guard Key Responsibilities I Monitors and Maintains Campus Safety Ensure the institution is opened prior to the start of business daily Provides an escort for students faculty and staff upon request Conducts scheduled foot patrols of the institutions interior Conducts scheduled foot patrols of the buildings exterior to include parking lots and less traveled areas of the campus Enforces institution rules regulations policies and procedures pertaining to students faculty staff and visitors while on school property Prepares written reports such as daily logs and incident reports relating to security and safety matters Monitors and maintains security cameras and equipment II Conducts Preventative Security Measures Conducts fire and lock down drills on a per term basis Creates campus identification cards for students faculty and staff utilizing established software III Follows Compliance Policy and Procedure Complies with all State Department of Education and accreditation regulations Adheres to all company policies and procedures Ancora Education is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive work environment We are an equal opportunity employer that maintains a policy of nondiscrimination with respect to all employees and applicants for employment All employment decisions are made without regard to individuals age race color religion or creed national origin or ancestry sex including pregnancy sexual orientation gender gender identity physical or mental disability veteran status genetic information ethnicity citizenship or any other characteristic protected by law Apply Job!
