Apprentice Electrician

Job Title: Apprentice Electrician Location: Pasadena, CA Job Type: Full-time Job Overview: We are seeking a motivated and hardworking individual to join our team as an Apprentice Electrician. You will be working under the supervision and direction of a licensed electrician, learning the trade and acquiring the necessary skills and experience to become a licensed electrician. Your work will involve installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Key Responsibilities: 1. Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures following the National Electric Code and local building regulations. 2. Help in diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components using test equipment to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. 3. Support the maintenance of electrical systems, including replacing or repairing faulty components. 4. Collaborate in the reading and interpreting of blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics. 5. Learn to inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, or necessary repairs. 6. Provide assistance in the preparation of sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring or equipment. 7. Comply with all safety regulations, procedures, and practices. 8. Attend classroom instruction as part of a comprehensive apprenticeship program. 9. Assist in the placement of conduits and other electrical system components. Qualifications: 1. High school diploma or equivalent. 2. Enrolled or willing to enroll in an electrician apprenticeship program. 3. Basic knowledge of electrical systems and wiring. 4. Ability to use hand and power tools. 5. Strong communication and teamwork skills. 6. Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. 7. Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy objects. 8. Ability to follow instructions and safety rules. 9. Must hold a valid driver?s license. Requirements: 1. Must be at least 18 years of age. 2. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. 3. Must be able to pass a drug test and background check. 4. Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays if required. 5. Able to work in different weather conditions and at heights.
