Transmission Planner

Transmission Planner – Opportunities Across the U.S. We’re looking for experienced Transmission Planners to join our team and help shape the future of the energy grid. This role offers the chance to contribute to transmission system planning, expansion, and reliability efforts for utilities, ISOs, and energy developers across the country. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct transmission planning studies, including load flow, stability, and short-circuit analysis. • Use industry-standard tools such as PSS/E, PowerWorld, and TARA for system modeling and analysis. • Support interconnection studies for renewable energy and storage projects. • Develop transmission expansion plans and evaluate system reliability. • Work closely with regulatory agencies, ISOs, and utilities to ensure compliance with NERC standards. • Provide technical insights for transmission project development and feasibility assessments. What We’re Looking For: • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. • At least three years of experience in transmission planning, power system analysis, or grid interconnection. • Hands-on experience with power system modeling tools (PSS/E, PowerWorld, TARA, etc.). • Knowledge of NERC, FERC, and regional ISO/RTO planning standards. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • A team player with the ability to work independently when needed.
