What We’re Looking for in an Accounting Clerk: In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting and administrative tasks to support both clients and internal team members. You will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations across multiple functions, including payroll, HR, sales tax compliance, and client onboarding. Our Accounting Clerks Embody Characteristics that Include: • Loves working as a member of a team, collaborating with others to meet objectives • Enjoys working directly with customers • Has a thorough understanding of cloud accounting and administrative functions • Can work methodically on ongoing operational and accounting tasks • Understands how to organize information and communicate it effectively Our Accounting Clerks are Equipped to Manage the Following Areas of Responsibility: • Providing company-wide client & team support • Managing new client onboarding processes • Serving as a Payroll & HR Specialist across multiple clients • Handling employee onboarding for clients • Managing sales tax-related tasks, including state agency registrations for clients • Maintaining Accountant Dashboards to track key metrics and tasks • Transferring applicable year-end tasks to Registered Agents Our Accounting Clerks Bring the Following Education and Experience to the Role: • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in accounting, finance, or administration) • Experience with cloud accounting technology • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel • Experience with office administration Our Accounting Clerks Bring the Following Skills to the Role: • Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines • Strong communication skills • Effective time management, multitasking, and prioritization skills • Ability to learn new software quickly ProfitLine Offers our Accounting Clerks: • Full-time 5-day work week - Monday to Friday • Core working hours are 9:00am to 6:00pm EST, with some flexibility • $50k to $60k annual salary + bonus eligibility • Health benefits + retirement plan + paid holidays + PTO • Great opportunities for learning and advancement Job Type: Full-time Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid sick time • Paid time off • Vision insurance • Work from home Schedule: • Monday to Friday Experience: • administration: 1 year (Required) • Payroll: 1 year (Required) • Accounting: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: • QuickBooks Level 1 ProAdvisor (Preferred) Work Location: Remote Apply Job!
