The Role

A Senior Technical Lead Developer is needed to evaluate and maintain the current technology infrastructure while leading the development of scalable web applications. This role involves strategic decision-making, system optimization, and ensuring seamless API integrations, particularly with payment gateways and third-party services.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, enhance platform performance, and implement best practices in coding, testing, and system architecture. Expertise in PHP (Laravel), API development, and large-scale system management is essential.

Knowledge of AI technologies that could enhance operations would be a plus.

Key Responsibilities

System Architecture & Development

• Design, develop, and implement scalable web applications with a strong focus on security.
• Utilize PHP and Laravel to build, maintain, and optimize the platform.
• Oversee API integrations to ensure seamless system interoperability.

Technical Leadership & Strategy

• Define and implement best practices in coding, testing, and system architecture.
• Lead technical projects, managing multi-domain and multi-server development environments.
• Stay ahead of industry trends, introducing new technologies where relevant.

Collaboration & Team Leadership

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance platform functionality.
• Mentor junior developers and foster a high-performance, collaborative team environment.
• Contribute to strategic decision-making regarding platform improvements.

System Optimization & Automation

• Manage large-scale CRON tasks to ensure efficient system performance.
• Oversee dynamic system integration using API-driven solutions.
• Continuously improve system architecture, speed, and security.

Your Profile

• Expert in PHP & Laravel with 5-7+ years of experience in software development.
• Strong experience in RESTful API integration, especially with payment gateways.
• Proven leadership experience, managing projects and mentoring developers.
• Knowledge of system administration (Ubuntu, server containers, database architecture).
• Experience with multi-language, multi-domain development.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex technical challenges.
• Fluent in English, with conversational Spanish (French is a plus).
• Available for weekly online meetings and occasional travel for in-person gatherings.
