Part-Time QA Tester & Documentation Specialist (Salesforce experience required)

Overview

Softtek Government Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented part-time Junior QA Tester & Documentation Specialist with Salesforce experience to join our team. This role is ideal for a professional who can efficiently test software applications while also creating clear and concise technical documentation. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of Quality Assurance (QA) methodologies, Salesforce functionality, and technical writing best practices. Key Responsibilities: Quality Assurance (QA) Testing • Conduct functional, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for Salesforce applications. • Develop and execute test cases, test scripts, and test plans to ensure software quality. • Identify, log, and track defects using QA tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or similar platforms. • Work closely with developers, business analysts, business architect, and stakeholders to reproduce and troubleshoot reported issues. • Ensure compliance with business and system requirements through detailed testing. Documentation & Technical Writing • Create and maintain user guides, knowledge base articles, system documentation, and training materials. • Document test cases, test scripts, and test results in a clear and organized manner. • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure accuracy in documentation. • Continuously update documentation to reflect system enhancements, bug fixes, and new releases. • Translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly content.

Requirements

Qualifications • 1-2 years of experience in QA testing and technical documentation, preferably within a Salesforce environment. • Basic knowledge of Salesforce Administration, Lightning Experience, and CRM processes. • Experience with testing tools such as Selenium, JIRA, TestRail, or Postman (preferred but not required). • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies. • Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and well-structured technical documentation. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications • Salesforce Administrator or QA certification (e.g., ISTQB Foundation Level, Salesforce Certified Administrator) is a plus. • Experience with API testing and automation frameworks. • Knowledge of version control tools such as Git.
