Software Engineer, Associate

Under general supervision, designs, builds, implements, and maintains systems software applications including programs and scripts in multi-vendor environment. Primary Responsibilities: Designs, builds, implements, and maintains systems software applications including programs and scripts in multi-vendor environment. Analyzes business requirements and proposes solutions. Performs integration of software components from internal and/or external developers. Testing and debugging programs and resolves application problems. Documents application procedures and specifications. Writes program code based on system requirements as necessary. Works with systems analysts and project manager to develop project schedules and estimates. Monitors progress of projects. Maintains knowledge of programming languages, principles, and procedures. Provides guidance for quality assurance activities. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: Technical training in programming languages and computer systems is required. 0-1 years software engineering experience, including experience working with software in a multi-vendor environment.
